Kid Busted

Here's what a 5 year old does when left unattended for more than 30 seconds. Yes, this is the same kid that had the gash from the trampoline last week. Scotts & Spidey have already seen these pics, but thought I would share them with the rest of you. The first pic was actually the last one taken (I made him climb back up there to show me what he was doing). Pic #2 is "pre-busted" and pic #3 is "post-busted" after I scared him to death.......

weight on back of stool=body sent forward=nose and dome thrust into front pane of tank.
NG, in my opinion.
i would have taken him outside and hosed him.

That is too funny!
Especially when he did the "Oh, crap! I'm caught! Maybe if I cry, they won't beat me too bad!" thing that all kids do. lol!!

Fortunately, there was no hook on the end, just that plastic bobber weight thing that I had been using to teach him how to cast. The fish probably thought..."well this is a new looking algae clip".

Me personally, I wouldn't stand for that! He need to be told thats a big NO NO! and maybe some kind of grounding or privilege taken away. WHICH I MIGHT ADD is a lot more subtle than what I would have received If I did that when I was his age. I come from very strict Latino and Asian parents, where "spare the rod and spoil the child" was in a painting over the dinner table AND "TIME OUTS" only existed in Soccer for my mom and Baseball for my dad.

Well Miaheat, you gotta take into consideration what the child has learned. The fishing Pole is for fishing... That's it. Until he's tiold he can't fish in the aquarium, how's he supposed to know. You gotta at least TELL them they are wrong before you go beating on them.
But if he does it again, then well, I'm taking the sidelines with Miaheats folks, LOL.
Oh and I gotta point out... T316...30 seconds?? C'mon, I don't buy that for a minute. No way he got the pole, slid the stool cast his line and was waiting all in a matter of 30 seconds.
Granted, you should be able to leave a 5 year old alone for a bit, but I doubt he was alone for 30 secs...

Well, I figured if I told the truth and said 5 min. (or 10, whatever it was) that I would have someone on here peg me for being a bad Dad, or not looking out for my son....

The only reason I went looking for him is because he got quiet. That's when you know something not good is about to happen.....

Haha!!
Well you know, when babies drown in a bathtub, the adult always says, "I only left for a minute" yeah, right.
No T316, your not a bad dad. Personally I think the parents who really do stand over their kids all day are bad parents!! If you don't know who I mean, go to chuck E cheese. As many parents on the play floor as adults!! Irritating.
So, d'joo take the kid fishing?
Tampa has some nice spots for that sort of thing.

Yes, we live on Jordan Lake. He goes fishing all the time. He had asked a couple of times in the past about fishing in the tank, and he was well aware that he could NOT under any circumstance. He's just all boy. I guess he just had to try. I thought maybe he was playing at first, but the look on his face was like he was really trying to catch something.

That's funny!
My kids fish in the back yard with that plastic thing. I think they just like to cast.
But since he knew already, then I'm on board with Mia heat, lol...
Duct tape him to the wall and let the thrashings begin!

That is what you get for being a parent. Folks here who don't have kids have no idea how quickly things happen and he didn't do anything wrong... gave daddy a great photo op!
