Is it all possible to take a pic(of the anenome)? If not, then maybe a good description would help.Good luck.

Yes, there are anemones that will eat fish and it is not a good plan to buy such an animal without any idea what it is. Actually it is not good to buy any animal without being able to do research on its needs. Russian Roulette my friend, and you learned the hard way I guess :( sorry.
However, the bicolor angel is quite a delicate fish, and many anemones will eat dead fish as well. How about telling us more about the tank...exact water params (ph, specific grav, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate), age of tank, how long you had the angel, etc. And any pics of the anemones, if possible :)
Oops...I see you list that you have a carpet anemone, a known fish eater, which will get very very large. That is a problem right there. Also, bicolor angels tend to due much better in very mature tanks with loads of LR on which they graze. Without it, survival tends to be pretty low.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...but that is what anemones do...they were made to sting and eat. Maybe your bi-color got a little too curious.
Is the shop on 6th and clement? some fellow SFers?

Well yes they eat fish. How do you think they live in the wild? (sorry that sounds hars but I can't think of a better way to pharase it)
As far as your carpet anenome. I had one. Truly beautiful, under atinic lighting it would glow like a nuclear reactor. Then one day it got eaten up. I think a shrimp got in there and chewed it up. It killed all the livestock in my tank. Probably will not happen to you, just wanted to warn you.
Man this post was a downer wasn't it?

Frisco, oh fasho! I be up in DC every once in a while (SFSU BABY!) and was wondering where the best selection is.
I went over to King Aquarium in San Jo yesterday, and the lady claimed it was the best in the bay area, largest. I haven't been anywhere up in the city so if yall can let me know, hook it up!

im glad to meet someone else, its been almost a year and ive only met one person from sf. I used to shop at balboa for fish but ive had problems twice with Ich there. Nippon, sometimes i see specs of ich and dont even bother because i think its a little too overpriced for me. 25 dollars for perc clowns... come on now:rolleyes:. No doubt that its the place where you get some good advice. Yeah they got flamed... probably because it doesnt compare to the places in their area where it looks like a supermarket then a basement.
I get my corals at balboa because the owner gives me discounts on corals and dry goods.
I go to bag lots at 6th ave because its the only place where i have never had ich, and i have gotten over 7 bags before, plus some of the fish are better off in my tank opposed to other people with over crowded tanks and people who do not care for life.
Well if you want, i got some halmeda sprouting out of my sandbed, i'll be glad to give you some when you want.
