killer ich... or something

I have a 10g aquarium. Six months ago, I had a clownfish and a 6line wrasse, but they died. By the time they got ich symtoms, they died a day later. A month later, I added a blenny. 3 days later, it got whiteon it and a day later it died. After 2 months I added a clownfish. 3 weeks later it dies with what I believe to be ich. I waited another month and added a damsel. It died 2 days later with what I believe to be ich. Now that 6weeks has gone by, should I try another fish, or what?

sounds like the tank of death.
whats in the tank as far as lr,filter,ph?
fish dont die in 2 days from ich.
where are you getting the fish from?
are they healthy when you buy them?

My tank is at an 8.2 pH, no nitrite/nitrate/ammonia, a little phosphate though, it has a feather duster, a cleaner shrimp, a couple of mushrooms, a dwarf brain coral, and a frogspawn in excellent condition, so I don't want to start from scratch. I recently hooked up a 10g refugium up to it with chaeto in (to remove phosphates)and it has carbon filtration.

Maybe the problem is with the store where you're buying the fish. Try going to a different store if possible.

After you wait 2 months, while the tank remains fishless. This will allow any diseases in the tank, such as Marine Ich, to die-off. I would not go shorter then 2 months. Keep the tank going, and enjoy the corals, but do not add any fish.
Also keep in mind a 10gal is usually way too small for almost all fish. Certainly too small for an active fish like a 6-line, and really only big enough for young clownfish. Some better fish options you might look into, neon gobies, barnicle blennys, and a Geometric Pygmy Hawk.

I've been getting my fish from high rated stores, (aquatics ulimited, ***********, saltwaterfish.com). Fish from those stores do very well in my 72g, so it isn't the fish I am gettng. It's somethin in the tank.

Could be flukes?

They look whitish on the fish.
I had them on a wrasse that I had in QT and after the fish died, I sought out the advise of Fenner to see how to rid the tank of the rest... He said, "leaving the tank fishless for 6 months may or may not kill off the parasite, if feasible, dismantle and (go figure, I coulda asked Joe) bleach every part that comes in contact with water."
I'm glad it was my QT and not my DT!
It was a long time ago, maybe I can pull up a link...
