Kinda Dumb Question but still reply

Is it okay to have a mandrin in a hermit crab tank that I use to brew brine shrimp.
P.S. it's a normal tank not one of those brine shrimo brewery tnak without the filters.
PLEASE REPLY I'VE ALREADY ORDERED!!!!

Hermit crab tank? I'm not sure what you have planned, but mandarins need large tanks with well-established pod populations. Brine shrimp don't contain much nutritional value. I'd cancel the order....

No.. not even close.
First off, what is your salinity in the Brine Shrimp hatchery?
Second, and here's the biggest problem: Mandarins eat pods. (amphipods, copepods, etc.) Basically tiny crustaceans in a healthy reef tank. They are very picky eaters and will starve if not in the right habitat.

You will find out as I have, that there are no dumb questions when it comes to saltwater/reef tanks. We all have to start the learning process sometime, the members on this board are very knowledgable (sp) and polite (well at least most of the time). Enjoy and hope you get the answers you need.
