Knobby Starfish and Choc Chip Star????

Two questions..... 1) Are the Knobby Starfish offered on this site compatible with a Chocolate Chip Star? 2) Can a 55 gal aquarium support both of these stars for any length of time?
I've previously heard that Choc Chips are pretty much not compatible with any other stars --- ???) And before I hear about my tank size being too small - my lfs gladly takes any of my inverts or fish that outgrow my tank....

Personally I don't know anything about Knobby Starfish. However I do have a Chocolate Chip (in a 55). He eats bits of algea I give him as well as a seafood mix (ie last night he ate shrimp, other times he'll eat crab, squid...) So I would do some research on what the Knobby Star's needs are. Our Chocolate Chip has been a peaceful tankmate for a long time. Leaving all other inverts alone (though we have no other stars in that tank).

I've had my Chocolate Chip for about a year now - and have had no difficulties.... Before that, I had a Knobby Star - but the second or third time my tank crashed I eventually lost him.... I like both - so that's why I am asking about compatability and tank size.... I certainly wouldn't want to lose either from aggression and/or malnutrition.....

Understandable. I wish I had the answer for you. Stars are some very interesting creatures. I don't think there would be an issue (at least on the Chocolate Chips behalf) but I'd hate to state that as a fact. Tank size wise I think your Chip is fine. Mine is a good bit larger and has done very well in the 55 he is in. I wish you luck with it!
