do kole tangs change color, or is mine just sick...the reason i say this, is because mine is really pail. hes not breathing heavy, and he eats like a champ. not sure if this is where i should post this thread but ...wth

He shouldn't be pale. What are the water readings and what type/size tank do you have him in? What are you feeding him?

ph 8.0ish, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 20-30, salinity 1.019

Bio-Blend staples, Formula 2 algea w/2% garlic, saltwater multi pack (squid, brine, and 2 others in that pack), along with dried seaweed.
he's not breathing heavy, and he eats like crazy.

Why is the salinity so low? And why are the nitrates getting on the high side? In my exp, tangs have little tolerance for nitrates. They do best in a low to no nitrate enviroment.
Have you noticed any HLLE?

well it has been said by a couple of lfs owners that when the salinity is 1.019-1.020 it ick is less likely to show because ick can not live in lower salinity. as far as the ammonia, thats not high is it? and as for HLLE im not familiar with it, he eats very well, just his color is somewhat pale...is that a symptom?
