Koralia 1 AND maxi Jet 1200 on a 14 gal BioCube

Hi all, Im getting a pre-established 14 Gallon BioCube and am super excited about it. The pump was placed out with a Maxi Jet 1200. I was either thinking of doing the 2 following things just to mix up the water flow a little:
1) Adding a Koralia 1 into the tank as well as keep the MaxiJet in. I am concerned that this might be too much flow though. I only plan on keeping softies as it is stock lighting.
2) Adding a HydorFlo to the outake of the maxi jet and not adding another PH.
What do you guys think would be better? Thanks for all your help. Ill be sure to post pictures when I get the new tank!

I keep hearing about the koralia's and the wide flow but I still think that they may be too powerful for a small tank. I was thinking about one for my 29. I do think that the mj 1200 would be too much for a 14. I have a mj 900 with hydor rotating head and it blows my sand around a little. I'd get 2 mj 400s or 600s for a 14.

The tank has been up and running for a while with the MJ 1200. I will have to ask him if he has troubles with sand storms. You said you have the rotating head on a MJ900? Even with restriction of flow caused be the head you still see an issue with sand? Bummer. I want to try to eliminate putting a bulky PH such as MJs in the display tank for obvious reasons. Thougha Koralia might be a good investment, the flow does seem kind of much like you said. Ultimitly just one powerhead would be ideal due to heat being produced. Does anyone know of powerheads comparable to MJ's in cost that are on the smaller side? Also any more comments on the Koralia 1 from experience. Not looking for the answer that I wanna hear, just looking for several different answers.

I think I am just going to downgrade to a MJ900 just to be safe. Does anyone with this set up feel like it provides good flow? I want to eliminate dead spots and keep a really clean sand top. I could ad a HydorFlo to it just to make sure there is movment all around the tank, but not sure. Does this sound like a good idea? Anyone else run this set up and find it works well? Thanks a lot!
