koralia 4 problem :(

i have a koralia 4 in my tank and just last night...its stopped working out of the blue, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and/or has ideas on how to fix the problem, it has done this to me before after i unplug it, it takes a few mins to want to work again, i let it sit for several hours this time and nothing so unfortunately i think i am going to need a new one

thanks :)

How long have you had it? You might be able to contact the manufacter and they might send you coupons or even a free one. I get free stuff all the time for complaining about broken crap

lol i have had it for probably about a year, but i bought it off of a seller on ---- so i am not sure if any type of warranty would still apply and such :/

It shouldnt matter and its worth a shot. Just contact the main koralia company online, send them an email and explain that you purchased this item and it stopped working before a year.

Exactly! Thats why if you get anything even if its a stale bottle of coke, trust me......let them know and you will be glad you did
Most companies take care of you as long as you let them know. If they dont know what is going on they cant help you.

i just sent them an email stating my situation and how i am very happy with the performance of their pumps and how i would like to know if there is anything they can do...now all i have to do is wait and see *fingers crossed* lol

24-48 hours during business hours you should get a response and if they are true to their product, expect something in the mail within 3-7 business days

you might take it apart, and check the impeller. clean it good.
T
i have already taken it apart, i just did a full vinegar cleaning a month ago (i am pretty good at taking things apart and remembering where things go), and after that it worked fine and it is clean...very clean, i think the motor finally just burnt out, i might take it apart after they email me back to see if i can salvage it by a simple soder job or something. :/

You might make sure the impellor shaft is in the hole in the guard, I took mine apart to clean it once and didn't get the shaft back in the hole it worked for a few days and then it dislodged enough that the magnet was touching the side of the housing.
