Koralia powerhead...controllable?

So....i was wondering if i could hook these Controllable Koralias up to any wavemaker and the Controllable Koralias would work just as well and better than the old clattering noises the old Koralias make. I don't really want to get the Koralia Wavemaker. I am considering the "Wavemaster Pro" to save some money...

The controllable Koralias, like the Vor-Tech and the Tunze systems, are specially built to work with a wavemaker.
Using ordinary powerheads won't work as well as a complete system purpose built from the ground up.
Koralias clatter when they are turned on because they have a mechanism built into them that changes the direction of the motor if it starts in the wrong direction. This would still be there with a wavemaker, so I'm betting the clattering will remain.
