Koralia powerhead size for 72 gallon bowfront

I'll repost this question in this forum because I'm starting to get into SPS and I was thinking the water movement goals might be different. I have been looking to get a pair of Hydor Koralias for my 72 gallon bowfront reef (fish, mushrooms, softies, a few SPS). I was deciding between a pair of 3's or 4's. Anyone have any suggestions for which model to go with, or are both of these overkill and I should go with a pair of 2's? (It sounds like I'm playing crazy eights or something
). I currently have two Maxi-Jet 1200's each with a rotating head attachment, but the suction cups keep coming off the glass so I'm looking to upgrade. Thanks in advance.

.i'd go with two #4.. i like the koralia' cuz it has a wide strong flow..great for sps corals..i have 2 #4's and a 580 gph return pump in my 90g ..my sps corals are loving it....u can also consider modding ur maxi jets and getting the magnets..

thats what I use, two sure flow modded mj1200s with the magnets. I also have a modded tunze 6025 blowing behind the rocks. I have a lot of flow, but so long as your sand isnt going crazy, there is no real limit for an sps tank.

I have a 75 gallon, and used to run 2 mod'd maxijet 1200's, I now have 2 koralia 3's alond with my return, and it is plenty of movenent. I put them in the back corners pointed tword the middle front of the tank, and it created just the right amount of flow for me.

Jesus... Two # 4's in a 60 gallon. Do your fish just float around in the vortex or do they actually swim? J/k I have a koralia 1 in the front top right of my 75 and a koralia 3 on the left mid rear of the tank putting flow directly over my LR which will eventually be where most of my corals will be located.

Hi,
I have a 4 and a 2 in my 90g. I was thinking of getting another 4 to replace the 2. They don't beat things up as bad as the other types of power heads.
koralia's make a real nice wave effect. Best of all they stay put.

haha what fish? my tank is like a blender. No really its not all that much flow as to where my fish have problems at all.
When i set it up first it had 3 #4s. I have removed the center #4 and added another 35lbs LR since this picture was taking.

Dude, your rock all the way to the left looks like it has a lemur head growing on it. Looks like it's staring back at me.

2 #3's should do the trick. The big boys (#4's ) work in the 6' tanks. Or get a Hydor knock off that runs at 800gph.
