Koralia VS Tunze

i need to replace the single aqualcear 50 powerhead in my 36 gallon tank. i was thinking of going with 2 #2 Koralias but then i saw that tunze powerheads were also supposed to be very good. i dont know which to get. i know that tunze is more expensive...is it worth it? i want a wavelike flow in my tank to make my corals happy. i was going to put a koralia on each side right above the rockwork and make the currents collide.
anyways...which one IYO is better for the money?

I think you have to take into consideration the size of your tank (36g) and the power output and size of powerheads. One that is too strong may blow to hard in a certain area where a couple of Koralias may do the trick in providing a good flow all over.
The hard part is knowing without having them in place seeing the effects unfortunately.
The tunze I have is a perfect fit in my frag tank but I think it would go horrible in my 90 gal IMO.
I'm stuck on ideas for my main tank as well --- Do I get 3 Koralia 4's (although I didn't care for the Koralia 3's I had) or do I hold out for Tunze's or even a wave maker. Cash is obviously my holdback right now with a wave maker so I just sit with my maxi jets lol

Probably.. they make a good product although I wasn't happy with the ones I had -- then on top of that my astrea snails went inside them and wore the blades down making them virtually ineffective (makes a god awful noise).
Theres such thing as having too much flow although I'm sure Tunze makes appropriate sized power heads for each tank, I'm not overly familiar with them, and yeah I'm sure you'll pay a good buck for them.

a tunze 6025 is probably about as strong as a k3 and the flow is more direct. having used several of both the tunze mounting and directability cant be beat. Koralias have wider dispersion pattern, are quieter and better value. its really a wash. I use the tunze because I can mount one on my back wall where it looks best and point it where I cant point a Koralia in the same location. If the money is no big deal get the tunze. if it is you arent really losing much. like all tunze products the nano streams are overpriced. I'm still happy with them. DONT get anything bigger than the 6025. I got the 6025 and the 6045 and within 10 minutes of owning I had the 6025 pushing out the same flow as the 6045. I could have easily saved $20-30.

i will probably go with koralia because they fit my budget better. i looked at tunze and they are a little too pricey for me. thanks.
