i am interested in buying a bubble tip anemone from a guy on craigslist...
8inch green for $30 and from the prices the stores charge around my house that seems like a great deal. i emailed him asking him a ton of questions and the 1 that stood out the most to me was the type of lighting he was using:
i have the mother rose BTA in my 180 gallons she about to split or clone again
I use KT hyper white lighting in that tank with 2100 watts and six T5 Actinic 54 watts total of 2424 watts
If you wonder what is KT hyper white lighting?
It new saltwater reef light fixtures from Japan
It not sold in the America yet, I will be sold here late 2011 or mid 2012.
It way better then Metal Halide
KT HW (Hyper White) you replace the bulbs every ten years, it use a lot less electricity, the bulb does not over heat or need a fan to cool it down.
250 watts MH vs 2100 watts KT HW
250 watts MH use 250 watts
2100 watts KT HW use 168 watts
every 100 watts equal only 8 watts for KT HW
has ne1 heard of KT Hyper White? and if so is it truly the next step.... i tried to google it but didn't find anything
