Lampsnow VHO ballast and NO bulbs

Just wanted to tell everyone who may be interested that I have used Normal Output bulbs with the Lampsnow VHO kit with great results. I get the same (if not brighter) output from a regular bulb and it runs a bit cooler.
I had heard people mention doing this with icecap ballsts and wanted to see if it could be done. So far, so good.

If you have a VHO Ballast, why wouldn't you use VHO Bulbs? I mean i just makes sense!!

For those people who have old NO bulbs laying around or for those who want to reduce heat output from their lights I would assume that they might be interested in this. I didn't say that this was best, I just said it could be done.

I put a NO bulb in a LN VHO and it burned out about 4 inches on both ends.

I guess for cost, that would be a way to go? But still, if I have VHO ballast, I would rather go for VHO bulbs (Super Actinic and 50/50)
