Pic is a little hard to make out, but I dont see any baffles to force waters path and stop the bubbles from flowing back into display tank unless dumping into sump the pictured skimmer is missing some key elements.

I am assuming you want a needle wheel pump, and for your dimensions I would recommend a Sedra 9000. You don't need any baffles inside the chamber for a needle wheel skimmer. Depending on where you get the Sedra, you may also have to buy the venturi fitting for the airline, and the elbow for the input. Google: customaquatic.
I'm not sure if it is too late or not, but on your skimmer drain line inside the chamber I would try to put a 90' in pointing down. This way your skimmer drains from the very bottom where there should be less bubbles. I also would take out the two 90's that point down that come off the T from the pump input. This will just shoot more bubbles into your drain line. With the design you currently have you will have a lot of bubbles coming out of your skimmer. That may not be an issue depending on your sump and where it is set up in it as far as bubble traps are concerned.

I agree with hurt on the drain and input from the pump.
You could also add a sliding coupler on the out put rather than shut off valve. I think it will be easier to adjust the water height in the reaction chamber.
How big of a tank is this for? This will really effect the amount of flow you want through the skimmer.
You could also look at the ocean runner pumps. I have a 2700 NW that I love. I have never heard anything bad about the Sedras in this use either.
JMO but I would make it a recirc style and feed off the over flow or a smaller pump but thats just me.......

I changed it over and put the 90 at the bottom and i just made it.I have like half inch space between the 90 and the bottom of the skimmer.lucky me I put it all together with bulk heads so I was able to change it.I wanted to try and run it on a 75 gallon reef and some fish will this work?
