Last minute CuC.

Hey all I'm hoping to get some quick replies here since timing is of the essence.
I am going away for 2 weeks and I've left feeding instructions for a couple of relatives for feeding the fish/corals and will be doing a 50% water change today so hopefully that will do until I get back.
However, I'm thinking of beefing up my CuC to pick up some of the slack while I am gone. I think right now where I am lacking in CuC is critters that pick at the rocks since most of em' are a little kind of covered with grayish/brownish fuzz.
At the moment in my 40 gallon tank, I have the following:
2 Turbo Snails (don't want more since they knock things over all the time).
8 small Hermit Crabs
1 Tuxuito Urchin
2 Emerald Crabs
1 Arrow Crab
3 Astrea Snails
1 Diamond Goby
4 Nassarius Snails
I think the goby and the nassies are doing great at keeping the sand clean, and the Turbos, Emeralds, and the Urchin are doing fine keeping algae under control, but the rocks themselves look like they could use a little help, so what should I get before I leave?
Also, the store where I am going to get my water from today just got a fresh batch of margarita snails (black shells with white bodies). I've heard that some people like em and some people don't. You think getting a handful of them will be fine if thats all I could find? CuC critters for some reason do not seem to be available much in any of the LFSs around me.

Oh I do have a cleaner shrimp It just didn't occur to me he's a CuC member because all of us at the house love looking at him lol. Yeah although I've rarely see him "clean" a fish he does a fine job finding stuff hidden in the cracks to eat.
Oh I also forgot to mention there are also 2 peppermint shrimps in the tank since a week ago I noticed some aipasia (sp?) beginning to appear on my mushroom rock.
I dunno, I feel I'm lacking in the snail department. Given what I already have, what do you think should be my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice of snails? I'm asking for the top 3 since most LFSs around me seem to only carry Turbos, which I don't want.

I think you have more than enough for now until the tank gets going a bit more. I would wait, see what the others have to say.

people dont like margaritia snails because they are used to colder waters than are tanks! I still use em though...
I suggest more astreas or torchus snails! Also maybe get a seaserpent or black brittle star! NO green brittles!

Oh I've been wanting trochus snails for a while now but nobody around them ever seems to have them. My tank is just about 4 months old now... isnt that still too young for the serpent/brittle stars? I tried keeping a red fiji star a few weeks ago... it didn't show any signs of stress, but it only lasted 4 days and then died.
I think I'll try the stars when I get back, but atm I don't feel comfortable having them if I can't keep an eye on them.
I think I'll call around and see what snails are in stock and then I'll let you all know what my choices are.

Well good news! I just called a place and they have a whole lot of trochus snails in stock!! Thats the 1st time I've had anyone local to me have them. I think maybe 5 or 6 of them should give me some piece of mind while I am gone. Maybe a few more astreas too if they give me a good price on them.
If you all don't think my tank's too young for a brittle and/or a serpent star, I may pick them up when I come back.

i dont have a brittle but i plan on getting one...ive got a banded seaserpent though....
thing about stars and serpents is acclimating them over a longer period! Like 2hrs! Small drops of water added to the bag they come in or a bucket....they dont like changes in salt levels or temp or anything! Make sure to acclimate it correcty!

Also dont get a green brittle! Make sure its black or purple or something....the green ones are known for eating things like fish and stuff if they can catch it!
