Lateral Line Disease

I believe that my baby Koran Angel might be in the begining stage of Lateral Line, but I can not remember the exact syptoms or cures for her. Since she is soo little I feel terrible for not taking care of my "baby" better, since if I remember right Lateral line is caused by poor nutrition. As of now, she gets her green seaweed every morning in her clip and gets feed brine blood and formula one, every other day. (the formula is actually probably more like once a week, since NONE of my fish like it). Thank you for helping me, you guys are all the greatest!

Definately keep feeding it the seaweed selects and maybe get some vitamin supplement to put in their food. I use vita chem, but there are other brands too. Just make sure you keep up on the feedings as they are the most important for any angelfish.

The first signs are small pits around the eyes. They are flesh colored, and look almost like missing scales. My Sailfin had these "first signs" and started using ZOE,by Kent marine. This is a vitamin& mineral suppliment that you add directly to the water, and soak food in overnight. Within a couple of days I could see an improvement. Now,a month later,he's still fine. Good luck..........STEVE

I soak my seaweed in zoe heavy spirulina. Both my purple tang and juv emperor had hlle pretty bad. I tried everything but after soaking the seaweed in zoe spirulina about 2and ahalf to three months now, the purple tang is completly healed and the emperor has a little left on his nose. You can also try feeding mysis shrimp, they are much more nutritious then brine. I tried selcon earlier this year and cant say for sure that didnt help.
