my LMB is awesome, I honestly cant believe how fast he is eating up algae
this creates a problem though, I have fixed all my water problems that were causing the algae and it isn't growing anymore....
so do I need to get algae sheets to feed my LMB and how much do i put in for him
i'm thinking half a sheet and leave it for a couple hours
or do i just leave it until he eats it all?

Can't be sure, but I think mine died of malnutrition.
Same here, mine was gobbling up algae like crazy and doing fine. When the rocks were cleaned off, I tried clipping some algae sheets down low in the tank, but I think my other fish just got to it first. He was kinda timid.
It's a shame because LMBs are one of my favorite fish, but I don't want to risk getting another one.

My LMB is adorable, personable... It has cleaned my tank, he continues to make round kissingmarks when he sees something on the glass. He look like a dinosaure.
I feed him with Ocean Nutrition Formula One Marine pellets. He loves it.
You have to kind of spot feed LMBs. They are slow and dont see well.

As far as the Nori sheets go, mine has been eating about a 2" x 2" sheet every couple days, but he's also eating algae from the tank.
I would start with something that side, put the sheet and clip in one of its favorite spots, and see how much it eats. Then you can scale up or down from there, since the algae only lasts maybe 3 or 4 days.

I let the back glass grow algae and he also eats the bits of food from the frozen cube that fall in his path. He always has a full belly and seems happy.
All the fish enjoy the algae growth on the back glass.

Well I know mine eats it sometimes, but he isn't going to rid a tank of it. I see him take bites out of it from time to time though.

any thoughts on hair alage with a LMB?
I wouldn't depend on it. You could be sentencing the fish to a death sentence.
If you're tank is newly cycled, it may die down some, but there's a source of nutrients that needs to be found and eliminated.
