my new lawnmower blennie went into my 2 month old tank.
amonia 0 nitrite 0 and nitrate .5
temp 80-82
sg .024
acclimated according to instruction to left for 1 hour.
The lawnmower blennie is breathing real hard with mouth wide open.
I do see him eating the algae so at least that is a good sign.
any thoughts?

I think Lawnmowers have a tendency to look like they are breathing hard due to their facial structure. Just keep an eye on him. Mine eats, but he tends to hide away when you get close to him. If I am watching mine, he is watching me. Basically, unless yours is different than mine, he wont let you watch him eat

blennies' do that. I had one for a long time, it's just how they breathe. Sometimes it looks like they stop breathing, they just have strange breathing patterns. No need for alarm. They are the most interesting and comical fish out there IMO.
Have fun!
