Lawnmower Blennie

Just picked up a lawnmower blennie and the thing is a machine! It is eating a ton of algae. He has just about cleared the rock of the algae. My question is, I have quite a bit of algae on the sand substrate and I was wondering if he will start snacking on that or will he just stick to the rock?

Not only the rocks, but the sand, and even the glass. LMB are awesome fish, great personalities and very beneficial to the tank.

Very Nice. If he is doing a great job eating all of the algae on the rocks, should I bother getting a goby (or sand sifter)? I don't want him to starve.

My blenny loves munching on the rockwork and glass. I've never seen him eat off the sandbed though. Each fish is diffrent, so you never know.
