Lawnmower Blenny safe in frag tank?

I've been keping frag in my display until I finshed my frag tank (thread with pics in DIY forum) this past weekend. My display has a Purple Tang and a Hector's Goby, which do a number on any algea that comes in on new frags. I'd like to find an algea eater from the frag tank. So a couple of questions...Has anyone had a bad expierience with a lawnmower blenny eating zoas, palys, or rics? Will a lawnmover stay in a shallow frag tank without lid? Does anyone have a better recommendation?

I had one in my 20L frag tank and he did a great job. The monkey shrimp pestered the corals more than the LMB did. And the LMB cleaned the glass and rocks like a champ.

Thanks all
rebel, I'd keep a close eye on the coral beauty with new additions. I had one for 6 months that did exactly as you say and then one day he ate all the fringe off a paly colony with 50+ polyps (Blue Hex). I removed that colony because it was easier and he left all my others alone, then on the next set of additions he did the same thing with GPE. I eventually took everything out of the tank, caught him and took him to the LFS. I loved him while he was well behaved though.

The crack house (you know who I mean) has a Mandarin Dragonet in one frag tanks for example. Seem to love in it there. When ever we get our frag tank set up, I'll house a few good algae eaters there.

Thanks, everyone. I now have a sixline wrasse and a lawnmower blenny in the frag tank and I'm done for fish in there.
