Wow, holy crap, I am so amazed right now. Over a week ago I thought my lawnmower blennie must have died since I could not find him anywhere. I looked through my whole tank and even moved every single piece of rock in my tank to remove a 3 striped damsel. Well tonight I was looking at my tank with the lights off to see if I could spot my peppermint shrimp and I noticed a red eye in the sand bed, so I searched a little closer with the flashlight and it looked like the body of my lawnmower blenny mostly buried in the sand. Then to my surpise the eye moved, so I kept watching and the eye moved again. I was so excited that I opened up my tank and used a small pole to stir up the sand near him, and he moved.
This is so suprising because I had been searching for him for days and couldn't find him and I didn't think they would burrow into the sand. I was thinking maybe he had gotten stuck under the sand when I was moving all the rocks to catch my damsel but how could he survive that long without moving?
Hmm, I seem to be rambling on, but I am just so excited and astonished by this, I sure hope he does ok now..
