lazy reefer question.....on testing

I have a 90g of lps and leathers.
I am not trying to be lazy, but testing seems to take so much time.
So I was wondering
ok, I understand that PH, calcium, and alk are all related in that if one is off, then it will send the others off. is this true?
because if it is true, then why can't I just get a Pinpoint PH monitor and when the PH begins to change, then I know something is up?
if you think bad idea, what if I also added a pinpoint calcium monitor?
then all I have to do is make sure those 2 monitors are correct every once in a while and I dont have to test for alk.
then all that needs regular checking is nitrates.
what do you think?

IMO lazy will cost you money. When I started my nano reef 8 months ago iwas told
Check levels everyday because it only 12 gal. lazy to date has cost me more than I ever thought possable.

i NEVER recommened that you do this
but with that said i test the water of our tank almost never in 3 years. every now and then I test it just for fun but for the most part i go months and month without testing.
the reason for this is simple. i tested once a week for the first year and NOTHING ever changed and i got sick of doing it for nothing. I am a creature of habbit. i do the tank the same exact way all the time so IMO nothing will change.
the only water testing i do is to the water BEFORE it goes into my tank during water changes and top off.

I test alk, calcium, ph, sal and amonia about once a week and about once a month, everything.
Test it or lose it.
A fully stocked 150g reef is alot of life/money to kill because I want to get lazy.
