I went to the LFS today and purchased a skunk cleaner. He went directly to the side corner opposite the other corner where my fire shrimp has stayed for a week.
WHATS UP WITH THESE LAZY SHRIMP??????
The fire shrimp molted so I thought maybe he would start to move around. Hasent yet.
Well besides these shrimp being lazy can anyone tell me if they will clean fish smaller than they are? Like a royal gramma and a blue chromis??
Thanks

skunk cleaners do much better in pairs, and rarely do much their first couple of days
as for the smaller fish, ours clean our chromis, but maybe at first the size may intimidate the poor little fish(seeing this big thing comein at them with claws grabbing), may but i am not sure, just trying to put myself in their fins is all :D

omgosh...i was wondering this since last night. I have a pseudochromis too and i wasnt sure if the skunk cleaner i got last night would clean him. I noticed he had a few paracites...it looks like today the cleaner shrimp got 2 of the 3 spots. I saw somewhere that cleaners eat some algae too. I hope so 'cause my fish don't have that many paracites on them.

they will eat almost anything, they are more scavengers that anything
and some fish do not want to be bothered at all either, so it is up to the fish and the clenaer more than anything
