Man, I wish. I asked the same thing about 8 years ago. The Leafy Sea Dragon had just come of the endangered species list. The store I contacted wanted $11,000 for a pair.
They are gorgeous, and big too. Yeah...if I had $25,000 I didn't know what to do with....

Actually--
these fish are protected and its illegal to collect them.
Thats said, captive bred offspring occasionally pop up.
last yr on a japanese website, there were a few leafy seadragon babies for sale. they were captive bred offspring. IIRC they were ~5grand USD/ea
Also remember these are temperate water fish so they require cold water, and they only eat live shrimp.
I was speaking to a curator of a public aquarium a few years back, and she mentioned that it cost more than her yearly salary to pay for the live shrimp their leafy exhibit ate.
gotta have deep pockets for these fish

Frank, thank you so much for enlightening us, this subject drives me nuts every time it comes up. I didn't want to chime in because I didn't have the complete picture.

most people would have to spend there entire years salary to keep them alive and healthy. but anyway you CAN get them tho. you can get them captive bred from people that got theres before they made it illegal or if they have permits.
