leapard shark?

Does anyone know where I could purchase a baby or pretty young leapard shark? Dont worry its not for my 125g. My boss just set up a indoor pond in his basement., Im not sure of the gallons but it is like 10feet long and 6 feet wide. He wants to add a leapord shark or another active shark. In our neck of the woods now you cant get them less than 3 feet long. Due to new laws, they can not be taken from the water if less than that. At that size, they have pretty much outgrown that pond if you go by whats best for the animal.

I can get them for $175 for a 12" leopard. They were collected in Mexico, so they are supposed to be legal. Email me if you need more info.

yeah i def will be interested in purchasing one of them. The tank will be ready for it in about 2 weeks. Let me know how much for shipping to 11229.

i think it will last longer than a few months. And when he does have to get rid of it he can either sell it to his lfs who we know the owner of or we can give it to the coney island aquarium. But i think a 12inch shark would last longer than that. But if someone really disagrees let me know and i will try and talk him out of it. How fast does a leopard grow? Thanks

I know smoothounds would be a much better shark to pick. There are always no guarantees that someone can take a 3 foot shark off your hands. I had a hard enough time with a 2 footer because my tank sprung a leak. Im not exactly sure about their growth rates, but I know mine grew to about 2 1/2' in less than 7 months from a 1' size.

just asking cuz i have had them before in my 800 and was feeding them 3 times a week a mixture of squid, silversides, and krill mixed with zeocon and never could get them to grow.. thats all mine only grew like 3 inches every six months

and by the way im new to this forum and was wondering if anyone knew of someone that might be interested in my 800 acrylic... its in my garage and takes up too much space.. its a little scratched but can be buffed out.. thank you.. email me if interested

i dont know how it can be shipped to you gas... its acrylic but still took 8 guys to move this monster...:notsure:

I imagine its probably because the temperature in the tank was around 79-80 degrees... Correct?

no the temp in the tank was 67-70 deg ... my filtration system is outdoor in a shaded patio with no light... easier for water changes done bi weekly...about 150 gallons each time
