Learned lesson about UGF , Re did tank , w/pics

Well as in another post I had made I had mentioned bad nitrates , etc. Pretty much concluded that after following bad advice of going with a UGF I had to re do my tank. Here is is before the changes. Since I had to rip the whole thing apart anyways I added 17-18 pounds of figi and marshall. I also added a few pounded of ls to my exsisting sand. I also hooked up the remora i had gotten. Now im letting it go through whatever spikes or mini cycle it may go through. Here is before and here is after:
Leave comments!! I will be getting new lighting after next credit card is paid off in a month or so :eek:) also there is my fish and inverts in the emporary rubbermaid tank.
Its a 20 gallon btw , Dont mind the light glare! I had more pics but it didnt let me add more lol

Thank you! Im very happy :eek:) When we arranged the rock we were sure to make some nice swimming pathways. I was also excited when i saw the skimmer working haha. i cant wait til i can put my fish and inverts back in. But i am deffinitly waiting it out. I wish i would of done it this way to begin with. But didnt really know much , even after reading several books , they didnt even mention lr. sheesh :eek:) I also cnat wait for a new light.

Well it was a good amount of work but it was no problem at all. I had a great time working on it with my girl. We have only been in the marine tank hobby for about 4 months so far and we are already addicted!

Thanks so much for the getting me the tank back at christmas :eek:) It has been so awesome :eek:) I love how you have the nass as ur avatar , I wonder where the second one went haha.

hey susie.your tank looks awesome...great work.I need a little help with my 20 gal aswell.you have all that rock in the tank and its covering your back glass.what type of cleaning crew do you have in your tank,or do you worry about cleaning the back glass at all?Im sorry for all the questions but i need help with my nitrates also.what do you think about the kent nitrate sponge will that be effective? :help:
I have:
Marineland bio wheel filter 125
Powerhead(same one you have)
100 Heater
and Seaclone protein skimmer 100
Everything is working great and my water levels are
PH 8.2
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 10-20
