we have a large rock with several cabbage leather corals on it and one of them has shrunken significantly and has turned from its pinkish hue to a purple color, been like this for a couple of days. the other ones look okay in general but a few of them have the purple around the rim at top. are they doin poorly??
all other corals look good and healthy, water params are good.
ive heard softies "shed", is this it shedding?
thanks! :)

Shrinking in size, darker in color......yep I would say it is getting ready to shed. Does it have a shiny/waxy appearance? If so, it is another indication that it is shedding.
Take a look at the amount of current on and around the leather. Doeas it( the cabbage) receive enough flow to prevent detritus from settling on it. If so increase or change the direction of flow.
