Leather Finger ??

i have 3 leather finger corals . my ? is why do they not open every day ? i have compact lighting (12k) . they open for 3 or 4 days and then they might stay closed for 2 , 3 or 4 days. i have them at different levels in the tank and they all seem to act the same.thanx in advance ...walt

im pretty sure its normal. mine does the same thing. its like sleeping? and then it sheds. and is bigger?? some one else can verify cause im not sure
