Leather & SPS

So I have heard that it isnt really recommended to put softies and sps in the same tank and wanted to see if this was really true. I have a 75 gallon tank and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it really would be a bad idea to try to put these together

not true. i hv toadstool and yellow leather in my reef with sps. not all softies r bad. some more prone to release chemical such as cabbage coral. but even with cabbage, i dont really see a problem. running carbon occasionally should resolve most chemical problem if it does become an issue.
