We have had a leather toadstool for about 2 weeks... he has this film coming off him a few times and he does not put his polyps out? He seems
otherwise ok? are we supposed to do anything about his feeding extra... we put zoomax and invert formula in there? we have moderate light and a good water flow near him... is there anything else we should be doing??

Toadstools go throught a shedding process, this slime stuff comes off and then it will open up again once this is all done. If you can, run some carbon in your tank while this is taking place, it helps to clear up the water and pull any nasties from the water while this shedding process is being done.
Some say the slime they shed can be toxic to "some" corals. I have never had any troubles though but the carbon will help if there is a problem.
