what is the longest you have ever witnessed your umbrellas polyps to be drawn in? The polyps on mine havent been out for almost 2 weeks now!!!
all other corals are great! there is a little algea starting to form on the surface of the umbrella. What should I do?

I've got a leather. Not sure if it's what you are calling an umbrella
leather or not but it does resemble an umbrella and it does have polyps that retract. Anyways if the light is on the polyps are always opened, however I have noticed a few days to a week before it sheds an outer layer of tissue the polyps don't always extend and open up.

I can relate to what you are saying. Mine has been about 4 weeks. Posted on this board and they said it will be fine. Mine did the exact same thing, a layer green algae. It is starting to come out of it. How is your water? My alk. was a little high. That may or may not have anything to do with it. Good Luck!
