Leaving the Hobby for a while

Dear Message Board Members:
As of Saturday, I am ending my love affair with SWF which has gone on since about 1985 after scuba diving in Bonaire. With sick parents, I neglected the tank for about a week and woke up to find all but 3 of my fish floating in what turned out to be a heater malfunction. I was besides myself especially when loosing my pride and joy a 11 inch beautiful Volitan Lion, a 13 year old Seabea clown, and a banner fish. Call me a softy, but I shed real tears over loosing them, and in the process lost heart and decided to take a break for a while.
I have sold my 125 acrylic tank....but decided to perhaps try a small reef tank sometimes in the future. I always had a FO tank and just loved it. I will be checking the posts on and off to perhaps jump start my broken heart.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I'm relatively new to this board (I read threads a lot more than I comment), but I'm sure you will be missed. Hopefully, I will be as successful with my aquarium as you were. I hope you feel better soon (& your parents).

We need more "softies" like you in the hobby. Hope you can stick around, and continue to post your opinions and thoughts.
