I have an established 75 gallon reef with 2x175 watt MH. I am really considering switching to LED's. Are they worth it? What brands or types do you recommend? What do I need to look for when buying a LED system?

I am looking for something a little cheaper than those models. What about the 48" unit listed on this site?

If the aquailluminations are too much, then DIY is really your only choice left.
Go with 3 watt Cree LEDs and use seperate dimmable drivers for the whites and blues. Depending on what is in your tank, you might want to add in a few red and green to ensure you have the full spectrum over your tank. There are a few posts in the DIY section about LEDs and they all have great discussions about what to get and where to go and get them.
