Is there a purpose between the white and blue leds. Mostly in reference to coral growth. I always thought the blue where just night time

Blue LEDs are used in reef aquariums. They have a very narrow spectrum output. Hobbyists like the fluoresce they get from coral pigments. This is most obvious when they run their “moon lights”. Some believe that it also effects the production of pigments in some corals. It is believed that the blues though are not essential of good growth or coloration
