Does anybody know where I can get an extension of this Leg that holds up the Aquarium Lighting or even improvise and make one of my own? The lighting is too close to the tank and it would be nice if I had room to get into my tank without messing with the light. Thanks...
Wood blocks...use gorilla glue to attach them to the legs you already have on it. The stuff is 100% water proof, but use a vice...the glue expands like crazy. The stuff is tuff as concrete when it dries. Cut notches in the wood block to make it fit over the edge of the tank. You can paint the blocks black if you want.
I upgraded my light last week and have the same issue, I can't get my arm under it. I was thinking about getting a small shelving system like http://www.homedepot.com/Storage/h_d...atalogId=10053 and suspending my light from that. I have a 6 bulb 48" T5 and it weighs about 25lbs. There should be no problems supporting that much weight.
hmmmm....that shelving system is simple, inexpensive, and looks really reliable. i think i might just do that and place my lighting system on it. thanks for the advises

thats also an option but the weight of the lighting would have to be considered.
The weight would not be a consideration at all, especially comparing it to what looks like in the pics as a light just "resting" on top of the tank. Is this light not secured in any way at all? Looks like it's just sitting there, waiting to be knocked over into the tank
