I recently bought a Lemon peel angelfish at my local aquarium dealer. When I bought it it had a slight shade of red on its upper-middle part of its body. They re assured me it was nothing so I brought it home. My tank consists of a skunk cleaner, 2 tomato clowns a cleaner wrasse and a britte star with alot of crabs snails exc. I have a 40 gallon fish set-up up with about 50-60 pounds of live rock. The fish lasted 1 day and my water quality before during and after was absoutely perfect, salinity 1.020 and temp 79.It started out with 1 one red spot then it grew rapidly.I dont know what this is. can anyone help me out it would be much help.

Well, it sounds like the fish had a bacterial infection. Likely the stress of moving from the LFS to home, and the acclimation process, was too stressful for a fish that was already compromised.
That LFS should never have told you that. It was irresponsible. You should call them and let them know. Also, never, ever get a fish that is anything less than perfect....unless you are like me and have a some knowledge about fish diseases and like to do "rescues".
