had this guy for about 4 weeks. 55 gal tank. he died today and had red spots on his belly. what could that have been and do i need to do anything to my tank to protect my other fish?
Your other fish will likely be fine, as long as your tank environment is in good condition. The red spots, if they looked like this, is likely a bacterial infection.
