well, let this be a short but meaningful warning for hobbyists. NEVER buy a fish you know is going to outgrow your tank and say you will take it back or sell it after it has outgrown your tank.
this usually applies for trigger/tangs/groupers since they are the most sought after by new hobbyist's that start out with a nano, or something insufficient for the fish.
well, i fell victim to a niger trigger, which i kept in a 58 gallon oceanic. 36"x18" x something else. anyway, today was its day to go since it killed one of my clowns, and started to nip at corals. went to the LFS after keeping the niger for six months. he was a beautiful dark blue with growing streamers. i only got 15 dollars store credti
i paid 30 for him SIX MONTHS ago!
so, dont buy a fish thats going to outgrow your tank. they are going to be a pain in the a
to catch, and you wont get nearly enough that you deserve for them. i had to rip my tank apart just to catch him....
ITS NOT WORTH IT.
thanks for reading my little informative rant.

PS a pic of my favorite fish now gone...

Nice fish!! Sorry you had to let it go. Many of us learn the hard way. But now you know for next time.
I was like that, I got fish that were to big for my 46 and when I moved them to my 180 I lost 2 of them. My adult dragon wrasse and a p.puffer

Once I get my 180 up and going, I would like to get a Niger Trigger but I'm a little afraid it may harm my long kept clown (over 10 years) I really want one but I know there's a chance it could happen. Grr!
