Let there be light!

Well today my Coralife aqualight arrived and I must say I am stoked. I went with the 130W setup for my 20H and the light is awesome. I almost went with the 175W metal halide setup but decided against it due to overheating concerns. I must say though that this setup looks very similar to the MH lighting I have seen. It cast great shadows and reflections. My question is what besides clams wont I be able to keep in the tank?
Thanks for any input and I will get some pictures up soon!

i was told there are some clams that only need vho for them, dont know the names but thats what i was told by krux, maybe he can fill you in a little more. but as far as corals go, you should be able to keep most sps, lps and softies, hth

You might be ok with some sps and some clams but keep them high. Most other lps and softies should be fine.

The Squamosa Clam relies heavily on the photosynthesis of the zooxanthellae cells growing in its mantle. However, it will also require micro foods designed for a filter feeder, especially when small. Offer phytoplankton and other micro-foods, such as marine snow. The Squamosa can be sustained by power compacts but it will suffer without really good light. It's a catch 22. If I were you I would wait unitl you could provide the best enviroment for a clam possible. That's my 2 cents.

I think the far majority of SPS would be a bad idea, I've tried them under good amounts of PC and they still STN or RTN in my tank.
