well, im hoping this will become one of those nice big threads that will help some of us out who want to make our little ten gallons that sit in our basement into a flourishing reef. so, lets see those 10 gallon reefs!!!!

i have a 10 gal thats setting empty, i cant make up my mind what kind of tank i want it to be but as soon as i get it up and going ill post some pics
 
I have the same predicament! I have my old 10g in my garage taking up space, and I don't know what to do with it. I was thinking a nano reef with maybe a false perc, firefish, watchman goby, etc...

I have a 10 gal sittin around I would set it up but im already gettin rid of one ank lol and I dont wanna buy lights

yea, i know what you mean, setting up a tank is pretty expensive, even if its a 10 gallon. but i got spare lights, spare filters, spare heaters, and a spare tank...lol
lets see some more!

ditto. i found a dirt cheap and nice PC fixture online with free bulbs. PM me for the link.

You need to do weekly water changes with a 10g, like 3 or 4 gallons, I actually did 2 when I had one. Also you can't add more then 2-3 fish, I personally would just throw a clown pair in. Also not many coral at all unless you have a skimmer.

I have a 8 gallon biocube reef with 1 fish(used to be 2), and I only do 1 gallon water changes a week and I don't run a skimmer on it. Its been up for more than a year and a half and is doing good. 3-4 gallons a week isn't needed on a 10 gallon tank if there is only going to be 1 or 2 fish with lots of LR and some micro algae.
