Hey lets post what type of metal halides you have and the kelvin you prefer. give your comments. This may help alot of people out there wanting to move on up to Metal halide.

I run 2 actinics with 2, 175 watt, 5500k MH. The MH are on for about 6 hours a day with actinics 1 hour earlier and 2 hours after. I dropped to the 5500 to just try and see what happens. So far I like them. Everything in my tank looks good and I have no alge problems or water quality problems.

I just bought 2 used 96w pc lights from a friend with new 10k lights. So next year I will buy 2 175 mh with 10k bulbs, only because I hear the pc atinics are not a true blue. I think the 10k will suplement them nicly.
Any one else?

i have 3 175w 10k bulbs and 2 5ft actinics in a 150gallon reef, i am very happy with the look and the results.
