lettuce nudi / sea hare reproduction

im thinking about getting a couple lettuce nudis or sea hares for my new tank, along with a couple other algae eaters because i want NO ALGAE. my question is, for those who have gotten them, did they reproduce in your tank and what did it amount to? is it worth it to just get one and see if it reproduces or should i just go ahead and get a couple? if your did have babies did they live and grow or just get eaten? thanks.

I added a lettuce nudi along with a clean up crew to my tank, after about three weeks it disappeared. I had noticed it seemed to be getting smaller. I think it starved to death.
