Today i stop by to buy a little more lr to make a swim threw cave with a large flate top to place more coral on. OK now to the point. I walked by the SPS tank and saw a 4inch by 1.5 inch spread pink birdsnest for $29. I had to ask to make sure it was $29.

Dont birdsnest that size go over $50 easily??? Anyways i was happy i got the deal of the day the lsf. Here are some pics along with the the new ledge i built.

Very nice piece, and yes it is a pretty good deal from a store, my store would have been at least $50. It looks very pink(almost red to me) and healthy, very cool. I have a ORA green one. Good luck with it, I hope it does well for you.

Be careful with the other 10%, my advice would be no Xenia,GSP,Mushrooms,Leathers,anenomes-things that tend to spread fast or move and can sting. You don't want them stinging more expensive pieces. I am removing my shrooms little by little from my tank. Also, a QT(dipping, close inspections or actual quarantining) practice should be employed. It is very easy to get "bugs" or other things that like to munch on your corals. Good luck, I hope it grows well for you.

Very true, my old tank was taken over with anenomes and mushrooms, I have a few now in my new tank and I keep them off to one side and will just work on keeping them under controll. because before you know it the 10% will become 90%

oh i'll be triming things back to sell since i have a plusing Xenia and going to let grow just a hair more then start keep it the same size. I'll be getting a little GSP soon to just to grow and sell frags to get more to get more sps corals. I'm going to leave the GSP in the sand bed to grow and frag. Have to make a little money some where in the tank..

Yeah, I have some GSP and Xenia and shrooms, the shroom and the GSP are what causes the most problems and damage. My Xenia seems to co-exist well with my Montiporas(most of them). It is a good idea to keep that stuff kind of seperated, good luck with everything.
