LFS hiding something?

I mentioned to my LFS guy that I switched to sand and he looked at me like I was crazy.He wanted to know why. He has 1 display tank with sand. I also noticed several hidden tanks with dsb. All of these tanks have that colored sand look. They keep them covered with brown paper bags taped to the front and lights over them.Why would he ask ME why? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

Troy McClure? Don't I know you from such movies as "Doors, don't slam them in my face." and "Bacteria, the other pipe cleaner." (Troy McClure is from the Simpsons right?)
LFS are crazy sometimes. I had one in my area that was using and heavily promoting sand and sand filters. Then one day they converted back to a wet/dry system with bioballs and everything. I asked why as was never given a good answer.
