Lfs Is Satan!

Ok, luckily, im not stupid enough to do this, but my friend bought a 77 gallon tank, 100 lb of live rock, 100 lbs of sand, and cycled it and everything was going fine. He had a damsel, and that was it.
He went to LFS and said, "Hey i got a 77 gal and i need to get some fish for it."
The LFS guy said, "Great! Lets get you set up!" and proceeds to sell him 30 fish AT ONCE!
Needless to say, he crashed the system, everything died.
I know he is not too swift, but you have to blaim the LFS for this one, obviously this guy didn't know squat and the LFS took complete advantage of him! Poor guy...
lessee, 30 fish was about 1200? yeah something like that. into the toilet.

When I read your reply, I went back to my post to edit it, but i didn't really see anything vulgar or insulting, I am sure I have said some things in other posts that would fit the vulgar, insulting category, sorry about that, so i will edit posts that i notice might break the TOS...
but what's wrong with this one?

Oh wait, when i read "not too swift" i was actually impressed with myself, then i realized it was edited for me!
Ok i remember what I said now, and my sincerest apologies. I really like this board and getting the boot would definitely be a bad thing, in the future I will be more cautious!

DON'T ARGUE WITH THE MODS!!! Just smile and nod!!! If you don't know why they did something, don't ask cause then it looks like you didn't read the "agreement", and you'll only make them mad. Just friendly advice for ya!!:yes:

Regardless, you should be able to trust your LFS, i understand many you can not. This kid goes to the LFS in confidence that they will stear him in the right direction, hence him asking guestions to the LFS to see what fish to put in his tank. He should really go to his LFS and inform them that one of their employees failed to tell him one of the most basic rules in fish keeping, if he goes in after and doesn't see that person cleaning puppy cages its time to find a new pet store.....:yes:

true, true, i found a brand new LFS today, really close to my house, and the lady told me never to listen to anything she says, that everyone does everything a different way, she said to get about 20 different opinions before doing anything drastic. I have a lot of respect for her, she knows hwat she's talking about. Maybe it's a ruse!

Yea everyones out to make money but c'mon. Don't be surprised if Michael Moore comes out with a movie about this LFS conspiracy titled "Nemos sleeping with the fishes.....upside down" (note: if i see this film created i expect a line in the credits, thank you)

unfortunately for myself, the only two fish stores that are close to me are both just out to sell me things...they try to sound helpful but if you're there just to look and get prices, they tend to act short with me...but hey, what can i do? drive two hours instead of one? I think not...
