LFS or Online

I think I am coming to the end of my cycle and it is time to start figuring where I am going to get my fish from. I am torn between LFS and online. I plan on buying some juvi clowns. I will probably get 2 maybe 3 because I hope that 2 will pair up. My LFS just got a whole bunch in today. They are the same price online for a couple that are already paired up. Do I pay the extra shipping and get the ones that are already paired or do I buy from the LFS and hope they pair up? The online stores I have been looking at have a longer warranty if that counts for anything. What do you all think?

PS: Do they have a spell check around here?
PPS: What do I look for in the fish?

I would go with the LFS because you do not have to pay shipping and handling plus you can see the fish you want before you get it. Cheak to make sure that the fish is eating, has no white spots, and swims normily. :D

The arrive alive guarantees that you find from on-line sources such as this one are hard to beat. If you buy in bulk from places on line, you usually don't have to pay shipping. Alot of time that cost is passed onto the consumer if you buy from the LFS. The one good thing about the LFS is that you can see what you are buying. Good Luck!

Most of the time I like to see what I am getting, but the paired up thing is hard to find if they are tellin the truth. Lesley

Well if you want a pair of clowns, then don't buy two and hope they pair up. It is unlikely that they will, so I say order a pair off the internet. Or maybe ask your lfs to order in a pair from their distributor.

LFS - because you just finished cycling and I'd advise not buying more than 2 fish for now. Online require a $75 minimum (swf anyways). I guess you could mix in fish with crabs and snails (cleaner crew) and make it to $75. I personally would go to LFS with first fish and see how they do.
It is fun to receive things in the mail though... :D :)

My 120 is almost finished cycling & I plan on buying some livestock from both LFS& online. Both have there pro's & cons....just like evrything else in this hobby.

Most online fish stores have a minimum like $30 to even $70(swf.com) so if you just want 2 fish i would go to your lfs.
