LFS's in Chicago?

I'm going to be spending a couple of days in Chicago, and had in the past heard there were some really good LFS's there. Obviously I'm going to hit the Shedd aquarium, and would like to see the Field and Smithsonion(sp) while I'm there. Does anyone know of any other touristy and/or fish type places to visit? Thanks a lot!

Where are you going to be staying in the area? There are some great LFSs out in the suburbs, but here are two in the city that are fantastic:
Old Town Aquarium (just northwest of the Loop on Wells in Old Town)
Reef Dweller (on the northside)

In town, I'm only going to be there for 2 days, my boss has a bussiness trip over my b-day, so as a present I get to take a little vacation and travel with her over there. After I got to thinking, there isn't a Smithsonian in Chicago is there? I think I was thinking of the Art Institute. I've heard a little about the Old Town Aquarium so I will def try to hit that one and will look into this Reef Dweller one. Thanks!

No Smithsonian, but we do have the Art Institute! It's fairly close to the Field, Shedd, and Adler Planetarium, and right at the south end of the Magnificent Mile. Another fun museum to check out is the Museum of Science and Industry. It's a short drive down Lake Shore Drive from downtown.

go to living sea in park ridge. do an internet search for chicago area reef stores or chicago area saltwater stores and alot will come up

Thanks all. I think I am going to purchase a 'City Pass'. It gives you tickets to the Hancock Observatory, Art Institute, Field Museum, Shedd Aq, Adler Planetarium, and the Museum of Sci and Industry. All for only $49! Shedd aq was going to cost me $26 alone. And I can get a 2 day bus pass for $9. And it sounds like most of them are pretty close together? That would be awsome, cause I want to see all of them(yikes!)
