No, you use the phrase for 95% of the posts you have here. I gave you the definition of liberal, and you give me this "Well, that's not the political definition of the word" (or whatever useless retort you made). What exactly is 'liberal' in this superintendent's decision, even in a political sense, to not allow these kids to go to Arizona to play ball? You seem to equate 'liberalism' to government control. There's no government involved in this decision. Based on your definition, Gov. Rick Perry and his little 'I want to force all young girls to take the Gardasil vaccination' pretty much falls in line with this scenario. Perry is more conservative than you are, yet he was making what you would call a 'liberal decision'. Enlighten me Oh Knowledgeable One Of The Definition Of Liberal.
What a joke. You can't be serious...

Dude, you are pretty quick to call people libs when they disagree with the conservative viewpoint. There is a wide spectrum of political views not just the nutjobs guarding the far-ends of the political process. LOL

What's the phrase? "The pot calling the kettle black"? At least you realize that the words conservative and nutjob are synonymous.

I wasn't the one showing their hypocrisy....................................or being a living oxymoron...

This whole topic is a deflection. An inability to defend your ideas on an intellectual level. Instead you try to deny a label with a justly deserved negative connotation...

I'll play. It wasn't a "liberal decision" but rather a decision based on her liberal ideology and it wasn't the first time she has done so.

I have been extremely busy working on my house-which is being built 2 miles from the Mexico border, but instead of trolling I thought I'd add a little something here. Our law doesn't say all brown or Mexican looking or Latin American has to have proof of citizenship, it is all of us. Also, because we must provide a birth certificate to get a lifetime resident drivers license, that is all the "papers" anyone of us of any race has to provide. If someone is a resident alien or legal immigrant, they are required by federal law to carry the extra documentation already. This law does nothing more than give Arizona law enforcement the right and responsibility to do what Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement are already doing. Lastly the law was written by a Hispanic(of Mexican ancestry) lawyer/legislator word for word from the 1998 US Supreme Court decision on how/when Border Patrol agents could ask for proof of citizenship. I hope all the illegals here go to the states that are boycotting us. It'll save us alot of money and cost them a boat-load, no pun intended.

Plus it is only a 17 page bill....and I am willing to bet those here that are complaining about it or making assumptions based off of other opinion piece have not even read the bill.

Now that made absolutely no sense. I'm not defending anything about the topic. I'm just stating that every time you post something, you label it as a 'liberal' view or action.

Say what? You flip two words around and you think that changes the definition or meaning of 'liberal decision'? What 'liberal ideology' did she convey in this situation? Based on the definition of liberal, she did the exact opposite. Her action was more conservative, if anything. The only reason I could see her having to deny these kids the ability to go down there, is she's concerned that if the law doesn't change soon, you may start seeing what happened in the LA riots, or Watts way back then.
So mantis, how is it in Arizona these days? Is everything pretty much the norm, or are there daily rally's and protests by the Mexican contingency?

Read an article this morning in today's paper how US Customs is pretty lax when it comes to requiring US citizens who are entering the US from Mexico having to have a US Passport to get back into the country. They still let people in using just a Driver's License, and really don't check that. So much for tighter border security...

Actually, the only time there's a gathering is when La Raza and the news media can coordinate their schedules. True story, the local paper advised the rally in Tucson would be "about noon or when the national news crews showed up." The flights were held up due to the storms in Tennessee. This is a purely left wing media hype job.

It is the liberal side of the political spectrum that believes we shouldn't mention Islamic and terrorist in the same sentence and ignores illegal when used in the same sentence as immigration and likes to claim everything is based on racism. You telling me there are conservatives out there that would ban travel to Az based on this law.

Where did this superintendent state that she didn't want these kids going to Arizona based on racial divides? Is she not wanting them to go because she disagrees with the new law, or does she want to keep them out of Arizona because she feels there's racial tensions going on right now, and she fears for the kid's safety?

She said the new law goes against the school's values. What do you think? Her words , not mine.
Do you think Arizona is more dangerous than Chicago where the local politicians are asking for the National Guard to be sent in to control the violence? School plays there.
Do you think Arizona is more dangerous than China, where the school allows students to visit?
Do you think Arizona is more dangerous than South America, the school sent students there?
That dog don't hunt. This decision was made soley on the fact they don't like the law. You can put lipstick on this pig, dress it in a tu tu and teach it to dance the tango but it wont change the flavor of the bacon once it's slaughtered.

I couldn't say it better Reef. I dare anyone who is against this law to come and stay the night on my 24 acres 2 miles north of the Mexico border. No houses or police for miles. Just you, the coyotes and drug smugglers. I cannot leave any tools or equipment there because they steal whatever is not literally bolted into concrete after dropping off their drugs to the illegals who then drive it up to Tucson and Phoenix. Read the testimony our Sheriff gave to Congress. If they aren't content to steal whatever they can and head to the border, they kick in the doors of my neighbors and r@pe and rob at gunpoint. This isn't a G@d d@mned political football. There was over 300 home invasions in an area of only 1/4 of this county. HEY LIBS, I know you want their illegal vote, but they are killing and destroying our people and homes. And the best you can come up with is boycott our state and fight to make them legal? This has got to be a bad Twilight Zone episode.

Would you be interested in hosting some target shooting matches? I'm thinking some night vision matches would be fun. See how brave the smugglers are with the sound of gunfire and bullets in the air.

Reef, the Mexican army special forces are escorting these b@st@rds across the border. The BP and Sheriff's deputies have been WAYYYY outgunned. They are using the guns and equipment our government gave them for drug interdiction to guard the deliveries. There is a video that was shown on Fox news of Mexican army trucks driving across the border, guarded by Mexican special forces, delivering bales of marijuana and cocaine. It is common here to see people in Mexican army uniforms crossing the border with groups of illegals. It really is out of control. This is an invasion, assisted by the Mexican government. Why can't the American people see this?
