I use them on my 120 gallon reef, I use 3 total first with the 20 micron filter then the other two I switch between chemical and mechanical as needed. If chemical I will use phosguard,chemi-pure or carbon. If I need mechanical I go with a 5 micron and a 1 micron, I get the smaller micron from lowes from there whole house filtration system. The Lifegard's are great for that spot cleaning, removing chemical or just polishing the water in my DT.
