This tank is already through its cycle!
Time to fill you in!
This is the tank and its rock work!
Lighting settings are:
48' Outer Orbit 2x 150 watt 10K HQI-MH w/ 4x54 watt T5HO & 18 LUNAR lights
Metal halides

The white lunar lights

The blue lunar lights

The blue actinics

Rock-work close up

Last the sump area!
Yes i have baffles people! They are behind the piece of wood! And disregard the water level this shot was taken a long time ago!

Thats it for now!
I do have hermits, turbo snails, and 2 peppermint shrimp at the moment! Fish will go into my quarantine very soon! They would have gone in last weekend but there was a salinity problem!!!
I will have more pictures later!

What are your plans for the tank?
It is going to be a reef!
Where you wanting my fish list??
Well here it is anyway:
~ONE TANG (I know i can have one don't tell me I can't)Either the purple/yellow/blue hippo
~Pair of percs (not sure if wild or tank bred yet)
~Midas blenny
~Heniochus butterfly (I have been reseaarching and can't find a good opinion {do they nip at coral and inverts}
Ps: If i scratch the butterfly could I do two of the tangs?? I know they grow large and have been researching forever and need better opinions! So bring your opinions!

I love the rock work. What type of skimmer and size sump tank is that?
Thanks! The sump tank is a 40 gallon. And Honestly I don't know what brand of skimmer because I bought it used but it works great! Does anyone think in the future I can put in a refugium in the sump because it is so big??

I remembered reading this at some point. Will post it up just for reference for you. It is from another poster so I would do more research before taking it as gospel.
"Very difficult to distinguish H. diphreutes (which is reef safe) from the closely related Heniochus acuminatus which has a more prominent snout and longer anal fin (and is not reef safe), H. diphreutes also is a schooling fish, whereas H. acuminatus is solitary or found in pairs at most in the wild."
